The Willamette Valley AMA is fueled by the amazing efforts of our volunteers.You can make a difference in the WV American Marketing Association by becoming avolunteer. It's also a wonderful opportunity to meet and work with amazing marketing professionals and increase your network while gaining experience and sharing your expertise.It is because of the energy and passion of our dedicated team of volunteers that we canserve our marketing community. If you're interested in volunteering, review some of the positions we currently have available. Some opportunities only take a few hours to complete and others may take place during a specific time of year. If a position sounds interesting, contact the appropriate board member, listed below, and they can answer your questions and help you get started.

Sponsorship Committee: Position Chair

Outreach Committee: Media Monitor

Responsibilities:

Scan local publications and identify local marketers in the news to share.

Time commitment: 2-3 hours per month.

Membership Committee: Membership Drive Assistant

Responsibilities:

Support Membership Committee during the Fall & Spring membership drives.

Time commitment: 2-3 hours per month.

Membership Committee: Recruitment Assistant

Responsibilities:

Research businesses and individuals who could potentially be interested in AMA membership.

Time commitment: 1-2  hours per month.

Programming/Meetings Committee: Registration Assistant

Responsibilities:

One or two members to assist meeting chair with event check in.

Time commitment: 1 hour per  month.

Programming/Meetings Committee: Photographer

Responsibilities:

The volunteer photographer would take pictures at each program. This position could be split between two or three  people.  The following photos are needed:

  • Check-in- Networking prior to the program
  • Announcements from the podium
  • Speaker/presenter- Board member thanking the speaker/presenter
  • General happy people photos

Volunteer would need to supply their own digital camera and, in a timely   manner, download  and send the pictures to  the Communications VP.

Time commitment: 1-2 hours per month.

Communications Committee: Website Assistant

Responsibilities:

Scour website once per month for any updating needs, contribute articles and information to create more value, update photos.

Time commitment 1-3 hours per month.
