If you build it, they will come: Marketing Eugene '08 and the Eugene '08 Festival

Wimbledon has one. The U.S. Open has one. So does World Cup Soccer. And the Eugene '08 Local Organizing Committee knew Eugene needed one for the 2008 U.S. Olympic Team Trials — Track & Field. They're fan events located outside competition venues designed to make the competition experience accessible and inclusive for everyone. As Chair of Marketing and Media Services for the Eugene '08 Local Organizing Committee, Libby Tower oversaw the seven marketing strands for Eugene '08 and the Festival. Libby will give us an insider's view of the marketing disciplines and advertising campaign that were developed and implemented to promote the Eugene '08 Festival.
