MARCH LUNCHEON

Ruins to Renewal: pro tactics for managing your online reputation

Kent Lewis

Kent Lewis

You Said it. She posted it. They read it. And now you're in deep doo-doo.

Have we got a lunch event for you.

It happens to the best of us. In fact, at some point, it happens to most of us. You post an innocent message in an online help forum, say, about some trouble with your hard drive. Next you know, you're quoted on www.impotentvoyeurcrossdressingexecutives.com, your boss is getting irate e-mails from your biggest client, and your co-workers are calling you "Floppy Joe." All while 15 other search engines are reposting Google's handiwork, preserving the mishap for months to come. Oy. You need Online Reputation Management big time. And specialist Kent Lewis of Anvil Media is on his way to the March AMA lunch to give you the run-down on this new, essential form of public relations. After all, it's not a question of should you be managing your company's online reputation, but how.

Reserve your seat for "Ruins to Renewal: pro tactics for managing your online reputation."

Volunteer Appreciation

It's not often that the Board of Directors has the opportunity to sincerely thank our members. One of the best aspects of working with the AMA this year has been the mix of volunteers we utilize on a daily basis. In addition to our 16-member Board, countless Southwest Oregon affiliates have helped in various capacities. Jon Meyers and Chris Beard take member photos. Michelle Meador and Donna Carter act as official "meet and greeters." Luncheons run seamlessly thanks to the hard work of Logistics Coordinator Jana Waterman. Colorful PowerPoint presentations at the beginning of each luncheon are facilitated by Nancy Bauer. Jessica Corcoran helps our chapter get mention in the local media. The list goes on and on.

There are 35 other individuals who actively volunteer in one capacity or another with our chapter. We couldn't do it without you!

As a "thank you" to these members, your Board of Directors hosted and sponsored a "Volunteer Appreciation" event on Thursday, March 1 at the Broadway. This event was free of charge and limited to volunteers only. It was an exciting "Members Only" event. We appreciate our members who go the extra mile and volunteer on a committee or assist an individual Vice President.

If you are not currently a volunteer with the AMA and would like more information on how to help, please contact me directly.

I look forward to hearing from you!

- Jenny

VOLUNTEER OF THE MONTH

Michelle Meador

Michelle Meador

This month, we extend our thanks to AMA's March Volunteer of the Month, Michelle Meador. Michelle helps coordinate the networking activity for our monthly meetings. As part of her volunteer role, she especially enjoys meeting other AMA members as they arrive at the luncheons.

Michelle is a relationship banking officer at Pacific Continental Bank. In her position, she's responsible for bringing in new clients as well as assisting current clients. She enjoys working with the bank's niche markets — community based businesses, professional and nonprofit agencies — and watching them grow and prosper in the community.

Michelle and her husband currently have one hobby — their 18-month-old daughter, Paige. Paige keeps them very busy laughing and chasing her around. In their spare time, Michelle and her family also love to travel, and will soon be enjoying a sunny vacation in St. Thomas.

Enjoy your much-deserved vacation, Michelle! Thanks for all you do for AMA.
